There was a very large sale again this week which included a special sale of Heifers with excellent quality stock on. There was a flying trade for Heifers with an average price of €2.50 a kilo and top price of €3.27 a kilo for a super quality Belgian Blue Heifer. There was a good number of customers present with brisk bidding and a high clearance of lots. There was a solid trade for Bullocks with a good demand and an excellent clearance. Prices for Bullocks ranged from an average of €2.21 a kilo up to €2.80 a kilo. The trade for Dry Cows was improved with a top quality Belgian Blue Cow making €3.10 a kilo. Sales continue weekly on Fridays for Bullocks, Heifers and Dry Cows. Special Sale of Bullocks Friday next October 2nd – 100 pens on offer – Also Heifers & Dry Cows. New Booking Arrangements- Please note bookings for all special sales will be accepted up to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays the week prior to the sale. The Draw for the pens will take place on Thursday at 5 p.m. Draw System for starting pen on sale Days: The draw for the starting pen will be made at 10.45 a.m. on Friday’s and 4.45 p.m. on Tuesday’s. The first number drawn will be the starting pen and a second draw will be made to determine whether the draw will go up or down.
