There were increased numbers this week with a rip-roaring trade for stock with plenty of excellent quality lots to choose from. Farmers and agents were very active this week and all lots were sold in the Dry Cows and Heifer sections while there were only 4 Bullocks unsold. Prices for Bullocks ranged from an average of €2.29 per kilo up to €2.75 per kilo. Heifers fetched from €2.19 per kilo up to €2.51 per kilo while Dry Cows made from an average of €1.61 per kilo up to €2.15 per kilo.
Friday next January 31st – Special Sale of Heifers – 15 pens on offer, also Bullocks and Dry Cows. Friday February 7th – Spring Special Sale of Bullocks Bookings accepted up to 5 p.m. on this Thursday January 30th – Also Heifers and Dry Cows.
