There were similar numbers on offer at this week’s Weanling Sale with a brisk trade for Weanling Bulls with averages of €2.66 per kilo up to €3.75 per kilo. The trade for Heifer Weanlings was slightly easier with plainer lots more difficult to clear. Weanling Heifers averaged from €2.54 per kilo up to €3.34 per kilo. No Sale Tuesday next April 24th– Next Special Sale of Weanlings – Tuesday May 1st @ 5 p.m. Bookings accepted up to 5 p.m. on Thursday April 26th – Please note the following: New Health & Safety Rules: Tuesdays Yard opens at 2 p.m. Only Mart Staff will be allowed into the sales yard from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. All Stock must be penned by 4 p.m. The Draw for the starting pens will take place at 3.50 p.m. Yard will open to allow Stock to be viewed by Purchasers from 4.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. sharp. After 5 p.m. The yard will be closed again except for Staff Only. Cattle that are not penned by 4 p.m… will have to wait to be penned until after the viewing period is over.
Sellers who do not have their cattle penned by the time they come up for sale will have to wait until the end to have their stock sold.
