There was a large entry of stock on offer at last Friday’s sale which included a big number of super quality Bullocks. There was an electric trade for Bullocks with a 96% clearance of lots with a packed ring and plenty of customers all anxious for stock. Bullocks fetched from €2.41 per kilo up to €3.09 per kilo. There was a nice show of Heifers on offer with a firm trade and prices ranging from €2.13 per kilo up to €2.45 per kilo. Dry Cows prices fetched from €1.54 per kilo up to €2.05 per kilo. –Please note the following: New Health & Safety Rules: Fridays Yard opens at 7.30 a.m. Only Mart Staff will be allowed into the sales yard from 7.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. All Stock must be penned by 10 a.m. The Draw for the starting pens will take place at 9.50 a.m. Yard will open to allow Stock to be viewed by Purchasers from 10.30 a.m. to 11 a.m. sharp. After 11 a.m. The yard will be closed again to the public except for Staff Only. Cattle that are not penned by 10 a.m. will have to wait to be penned until after the viewing period is over.
Sellers who do not have their cattle penned by the time they come up for sale wil have to wait until the end to have their stock sold.
