There was another good entry of top quality stock on offer at our sale on Friday last. Again this week quality lots were fetching good prices with a strong demand in particular for the forward store types, while plainer lots were a lot more difficult to clear. Prices for Bullocks ranged from and averaged of €2.15 per kilo up to €2.98 per kilo. Heifer prices fetched from an average of €2.06 per kilo up to €2.49 per kilo. Prices for Dry Cows made from an average of €1.33 per kilo up to €1.88 per kilo. –Please note the following: New Health & Safety Rules: Fridays Yard opens at 7.00 a.m. Only Mart Staff will be allowed into the sales yard from 7.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. All Stock must be penned by 10 a.m. The Draw for the starting pens will take place at 9.50 a.m. Yard will open to allow Stock to be viewed by Purchasers from 10.30 a.m. to 11 a.m. sharp. After 11 a.m. The yard will be closed again to the public except for Staff Only. Cattle that are not penned by 10 a.m. will have to wait to be penned until after the viewing period is over.
Sellers who do not have their cattle penned by the time they come up for sale will have to wait until the end to have their stock sold.
