There were good numbers on offer at last Friday’s sale. There was an excellent demand for Bullocks with prices averaging from €2.62 up to €3.35 per kilo with a top price of €1200 over the weight for a Char X Bullock 750 kgs fetching €1950. There was a lively trade for Heifers with prices averaging from €2.34 per kilo up to €2.76 per kilo. There was a large number of Dry Cows on offer with prices ranging from €1.90 up to €2.46 per kilo. Special Sales of Bullocks & Heifers Friday next May 25th @ 11 a.m. Also Dry Cows. Please note the following: New Health & Safety Rules: Fridays Yard opens at 7.30 a.m. Only Mart Staff will be allowed into the sales yard from 7.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. All Stock must be penned by 10 a.m. The Draw for the starting pens will take place at 9.50 a.m. Yard will open to allow Stock to be viewed by Purchasers from 10.30 a.m. to 11 a.m. sharp. After 11 a.m. The yard will be closed again to the public except for Staff Only. Cattle that are not penned by 10 a.m. will have to wait to be penned until after the viewing period is over.
Sellers who do not have their cattle penned by the time they come up for sale will have to wait until the end to have their stock sold.
