Champion Weanling weighing 295 kgs fetches €1770
There were large numbers on offer at the Show and Sale of Weanlings held on Tuesday evening last. There was a brisk trade for Weanling Heifers with lots averaging from €2.63 up to €3.53 per kilo. There was also a lively trade for Weanling Bulls with prices ranging from €2.52 per kilo up to €6 per kilo for a Char Bull weighing 295 kgs and fetching €1770 that won the Best Bull Weanling and Champion Weanling Class. There was a good demand for all classes with Exporters, Agents and Farmers anxious for stock.
