There was another large entry of stock on offer at last Friday’s sale which included a special sale of Heifers. The trade for good quality heifers was on par to previous week while the lesser quality lots were slightly back. Heifers averaged from €2.27 per kilo up to €2.79 per kilo. There was a good demand from the large attendance of customers resulting in the majority of lots getting sold. The numbers of Bullocks were smaller however there was a solid trade with lots fetching from €2.17 up to €2.86 per kilo and a 97% clearance of lots. There was also a good number of Dry Cows on offer with a 99% of lots sold averaging from €1.58 up to €2 per kilo.
